Second International Conference of Ecotourism - ETIS 2009, entitled "The road to successful ecotourism" was held on 8 October 2009. in Congress Center Master - Novi Sad This year's conference brought together a noticeable number of domestic experts and foreign guests, representatives of business associations, NGOs, governmental institutions and local governments, tourist organisation. Conference was opened by Boban Orelj - Deputy of Provincial Secretary Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, stressing that ecotourism in Vojvodina have enough space for the rural development .- Serbia has significant natural resources that can valorize through ecotourism, but the necessary comprehensive approach of the state - said the president IO"Ecotourism Serbia Radomir Jovelić Višerov. - It is necessary to provide infrastructure to organize intensive training and work to raise environmental awareness of the population and promoting this kind of tourism.

-The rector of university "Educons" prof. Dr. Ognjen Bakic said that ecotourism is one of the most promising directions of development of tourism as an Ecoserbia "subspecies"

-The conference discussed the categorization of accommodation facilities and potential sites, protection of natural resources, marketing ... Represented the project "Eco-Village of European Region " by ECO Lodge concept (eco hostel), whose construction should begin in 2010th year on Fruska Gora.
